    Red face Video Help

So im not the greatest with computers. My brother usually works on my computer for me since he built it. Currently im away at school so im trying to trouble shoot by myself although i really have no idea whats wrong. I've been trying to watch videos and trailers online but im having problems actually viewing the video. I can hear sound but there is no video to be seen. I've noticed a lot of the videos i've been trying to view are ones with the DivX software, but then there are also some trailers and even a few videos on youtube that won't work. My windows media player seems to work fine with videos i have on my computer.

Here is an example of a show that won't work for me

Im using Windows XP and i usually use mozilla or explorer

please help me if you know anything i can do.

Did it ever work? If it stopped working recently, you could try using System Restore to move back to a date prior to the change.

I suspect a security setting changed - you need to look at those. Did you install the divx codecs? You can try uninstalling Windows Media Player, then installing it back. Also, some firewall settings can block unregistered/unlicensed streams - you may need to disable the search for valid licenses.

Do note that badguys like to use popular video clips to hid malware - you should perform a complete malware scan. See the sticky, Cleaning Out Malware for complete cleaning instructions.
