After tring to load updated Adobe computer shut down and on starting my two cd drives "E and D" have apparently completely disappreared and I cannot find them any where - being a real novice this is a disaster - how do I connect them again please - or find them or reboot them what ever I need to do please.

See if they are in the Device Manager.

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager.

Click + next to DVD/CD-ROM drives.

If they are there right click each and Uninstall. Then reboot the computer.

If they are not there click the + next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.

Right click the Secondary IDE channel and Uninstall then reboot.

Thank u so much for help - but nothing seems to work - I carried out your instructions several times, but all I get is the the 2 drivers shoing but with an "!" in yellow beside them and they are in a type of ghost grey....so presume there is still some problem there!
