Exclamation I want to totally reboot my laptop, help?

I've seen it done before.. press some buttons during startup and it reboots the entire system.. deleting everything you ever had and basically giving you a wiped clean computer.. I just can't remember how to do it.

    Hi,
I think what you are saying is that you want to "Restore" factory settings.
This can only be done by "pressing a few buttons" if the manufacturer has created a copy of the original system in a (usually hidden) partition at the end of your hard drive.
Unfortunately, each maker has a different way to do this so you will need to find your orignal paperwork or contact the manufacturer.
If it's a DELL, you could try pressing F11 during boot.
    HTH.
    Regards.

Sorry, don't know anything about Sony VAIOs.

What is the make and model number of your computer? The Users Manual for it should tell you how to do this. It should be available from the manufacturers web site.

Overrated, provide the make (HP) and model number and we may be able to help.
