Black and Blue screen of death and no .dmps?

My recently built machine is sporadically dying. This site provided a lots of great info on how to get the data needed to unscramble this mess. I made all the recommended changes to System Prop/Startup and Recovery and downloaded/installed the recommended apps (thanks for such specific guidance it was very helpful).

But I'm totally stumped about what to do next. When the machine dies it's either an immediate reboot, which I call a BlackSOD, or, occasionally, a BlueSOD. In either case there is never a .dmp or minidump file. I've just started this process so I don't have much prior BSOD info - they have varied with the last one being DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a reference to skp2pnt.sys. Some searches on the net suggested this might be related to firewire, but I have no "active" firewire devices connected (the CF reader hasn't been used at all). What can cause a crash with no record?

The rig is running pure stock, memory has passed 3 cycles of memtest86+ clean. The crashes don't seem to be temperature related (watching that closely).

I am most needful of your erudite cognizance and shrewd profundity.

See this post if you haven't already:

    Post whatever dumps you have.

If the computer stops without an error screen or dump it is usually a hardware failure.

That was exactly what I needed to know - likely a HW failure.

Did some testing with Prime95 and it revealed issues in the memory chain. Two sticks as installed produced a fail within a few minutes. One stick at a time, no problem. Two sticks swapped in the slots, rock solid on Prime95 and all other apps tried. I suspect the sticks weren't well seated and this fixed it.

Thanks Jephree for the super fast response and pointing me in the right direction! You da man.
