    Windows logon

Hi, I think i know quite a bit about windows but this one has me stumped... There is only one account on my windows desktop (plus the default admin one) - so i had the pc starting straight into that account rather than stopping at the windows login screen. A few weeks back i was installing various software plus some java updates and when i restarted i noticed that the windows log in screen was enabled.. No problem - i changed the default setting and rebooted - but after restarting I was logged straight into the admin account instead of my own...
So i have disabled the admin account in the registry - but i still get logged into the admin account...
So i set a password for the admin account so it would atleast have to pause to ask me for a password - BUT when i restarted it bypassed the password and again logged straight into the admin account... ARRRGGG...

Can anyone help? I can log out and back in as myself but it is doing my head in. I have avg fully up to date and running but there are no signs of anything suspect...

    thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Goto the start menu, Click Run, then type "control userpasswords2"
Untick the box that says "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer"
then click "OK", you will be then prompted to type in the Username and Password for the account that you want to automaticly logon.
    Hope this helps,
