I have a Everex StepNote XT5000T and the hotkeys for adjusting the brightness no longer work. (Fn + F8 and F9) It wont do anything and it wont get brighter or darker.

First I thought driver or the program that activates the hotkeys is at fault but the other hotkeys such as sleep mode ( Fn + F1 etc.) Also the hotkeys ( Fn + F10 & F11) does not work. But the rest work. I have no clue why this is the keys them self are not at fault.

have you by any chance updated your graphics driver, as this could install a program and possibly override your settings so it doesn't make the hotkeys work anymore, can't you delete the previous hotkey and then make a new hotkey set to reactivate them?
