    Unhappy New Hardrive Installation Problems

    Dear Everyone,
Recently I bought a Seagate Barracuda 750Gb Hardrive to Replace my 80Gb Hardrive I had on my computer. Currently these are my computer specifications-

    System:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Home Edition
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 2
    Computer:
    Intel
Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz, 0.99 GB of RAM

What I want to do is install a fresh copy of windows on the 750Gb and copy the data from the 80Gb to the 750Gb. The Only problem I am having is that fact that when I try to install Windows on the 750gb, by booting from the disk, I can only make a partition size of 137Gb. I only want to have one partition, that being 750Gb. Can Anyone PLEASE Help Me, As I really need to get it Done Soon.

    Thankyou.

    Any Contribution will be appreciated

    Raj.

Make sure the motherboard you're usihg supports
48 Bit LBA addressing in it's BIOS .
Otherwise, you hit the roof at 130GB and must use drive overlay sw.
And the OS has to be at least XP-SP1 .

You may have to update the BIOS, to find out yours go to the motherboard web site or download a excellent utility tool called CPU-Z,
