H E L P... After almost 10 years of using a p/c I messed up & can't figure out a solution. I deleted files I should not have & need to resore them so the system restore on Win. XP will work agan. My daughter will be here on Sun. & if the p/c isn't working i'm a goner thank you

There are several unerase utilities out there. Avira Unerase Personal is popular. And there's a new program out that is getting good reports called Recuva, from the makers of the very popular CCleaner. However, it is still in Beta, and therefore there may be a few remaining bugs, as with any Beta versions.

CAVEAT: I haven't used any of these (as I have full version software which I have purchased). However, I have seen good reviews on other help forums for several of them. (PC Inspector recovery being one.)
