hi all,
iv'e got an NEC computer. when i turn the computer on it will load the BIOS and passes the POST but when it comes to load the welcome screen where the usernames are it fails to load.
it shows a blue screen saying "windows XP" it doesnt show the usernames therefore i can't log in. the computer is sending me crazy and i cant live without it and havent got the money for a new computer.
please help as i'm desperate.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode? (Tap the F8 key during a boot.)

Firstly try "Last known good configuration". If this doesn't work...

Secondly try Safe Mode (minimal drivers) and then go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Pick a date which preceeds the problem.

Post back with any results and further questions.

hi thnx for ur suggestions i've tried that and it still wont work it's frozen on the blue screen saying "windows XP"
