Purchased a new and sealed version of MS Picture It Photo & Print Studio 2002 (V 6.0.907.0 ): I select a picture (jpg) from the My Documents / My Pictures folder and try to open it and get an error box comes up.
Top blue bar reads Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime error
Programme: C:\Programme Files\Microsoft Picture It 2002\pip.exe
Abnormal programme termination
I have visited the MS support site which is as much use as a chocolate fireguard !

The Microsoft Support Site is good when you know exactly what to search for, sometimes you can spend ages searching and not get anything.
Microsoft are aware of this error and they have released a patch to fix it. Click here to download the patch. Simply run it and follow the instructions and that should solve your problem.
