For the last 4-5 days I have been unable to log on my task manager.

I must tell you that I am the only user on my PC and thy only administrator.
When ever I try to open my task manager, a message is displayed:THE TASK MANAGER HAS BEEN DISABLED BY YOUR ADMINISTRATOR.

When I asked my friends about it, they told my that I had a virus or atrojan on my PC.

Ihave thy latest antivirus & have run full system scan for about3-4 times and still cannot find anything wrong.

please tell me an appropiate solution.

It sounds like you could have a nasty blocking you from opening Task Manager so that you can't see what is running.

I recommend you totter over to the Spyware, Adware and Hijack This Logs forum, follow the instructions in the Stickies at the top of the forum and then post a Hijack This log for someone to help you with your problem.

If that doesn't work I recommend scanning with anti-virus software (AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender) and Spyware software (ad-aware, spybot, etc).
