    I have a 1315 Hp All-In-One Printer

I have a 1315 Hp All-In-One Printer and I have been trying for so long to get the darn gone thing to scan and then have it go to a place within my pc as to where I can edit the Scanned Document.

I have contacted HP Several times and still I am not able to handle this Simple Task.
I have also upgraded my Adobe Reader to 8.1. Still no way to scan a document and then edit it.

It seems to be going directly into the Adobe Photo smart Edition?

I have win Xp Pro w/ SP2 and Internet Explorer 7 I have Comcast Connection to the internet

I also have way too many folders on my PC and I can not get the Flash Drive to work so that if the problem lies as to where I can not handle my Task for there is n o space

Overall I am quite screwed at this point
And I would like for someone to take the time to be able to help me with this task

    I only have 256 mgs
And only have 6% free space available on my pc

The acct that I am working with has taken up 1 GB of Space on my pc.
This is taking up way to much space on my pc
But my CD drivers do not work at all

I know that I may need a new PC but at this particular time I can (Honestly) not afford

I am getting ProMsi error all the time when running MS Office Programs. Word, excel and such

I have MS Office 2003 but I do not need all the programs that came installed with that
But I do not have the Cod to Uninstall or Install any updates

Had a gentleman work on my pc computer and when I got it back it had MS 2003 on it.

I do not know how to use all the access, excel, etc programs

I HAVE WAY TO MUCH **** ON THIS PC THT I CANT NOT GET OFF

NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRY

BUT I DO NEED FOR MY 1315 PRINTER TO BNR ABLE TO SCAN A DOCUMENT AND ALLOW ME TO EDIT AND PRINT OUT

I was told by HP tech Support that I do have the OCR software installed but I can not scan a document and then be able to edit and print out the document that I just edited.

When you istalled the printer the cd that came with it will have installed several programs to allow you to edit pictures and documents.
The OCR program would be called Readiris. If you want to edit a scanned document you need to open this program first and scan in the doument using the program. Then it is already there for you to edit.
If you want to edit pictures you would use the HP Image Editor and scan in the picture using that program.

I did not have the installation cd I went thru HP Tech Support Live chat and they helped me download and install the software. I am suppose to have an OCR software installed thru that but I do not know how to tell if indeed it is installed.

You need to click on start/all programs and have a look for the HP software. It is usually grouped together under one heading. See if it mentions OCR or Readiris.

Ok , go to start, all programs, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
This will do the same thing for you.
