    No sound from computer!

I have just set up the new computer and no sound will play..

The speakers are built into the monitor but it's not a problem with the speakers as they have been tried on another computer and work fine!

I have a motherboard CD with drivers on it and tried to install the sound drivers from it but it still doesnt solve the problem and im not sure whether they did install..

Your device is detected so the drivers are present in some form.

Have you checked the Device Manager for Other Devices?

Have you checked Windows Updates for Audio updates?

Have you checked ESC for the latest drivers:

    Thanks..

I have tried installing all the latest versions and updates but still no sound comes through.

I also tried that website with the latest drivers and installed it but that didn't do nothing neither.

Is the speaker jack plugged into the center green audio port?

If so and if you slide this jack in and out do you hear any static?

Have you rebooted the computer since installing the drivers?

I am not sure about what the website lists as 6 channel audio codec but if all the drivers installed successfully I don't know.

This is the driver you installed:

    Sound
F0303MLBDRIVERNAME RealTek Codec Sound on board driver
    F0303MLBVERSION 3.98(6220)
    F0303MLBRELEASEDATE 2007/02/07

I would try other speakers; headphones; etc.

Are there any "Other Device" in the Device Manager?

Also if you hooked up the front case speaker jack try that.

In devide manager it just lists the codecs and media control devices but no other sound devices..

Tried plugging headphones in but still heard no sound..
