i have no sound from my speakers,i have sound from usb headphones when using skype .i have checked settings in volume control and to the best of my ability they are correct,i have tried other speakers but to no avail,please help if poss

If the computer was custom built then go to the motherboard manufacturers web site.

Go to the driver download section and insert your model number. The drivers will be there.
