PC Delays shutdown after installing sound drivers.
Hi guys!
I recently reinstalled Windows and everything is quite fine but the only problem is that, when I install my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card driver, even though the sound is great and all, when I give Windows the Turn Off command (or be it Restart or so), it delays about one or a couple of minutes before really start to shutdown.
When I give the command, it does seems to do something but I cant determine what. Nevertheless, I cant start any program since the Turn Off command.
My HDD activity red led doesn't turn on, it just seems to delay and that's it.
I've already proved that its this driver the one causing it. I used System Restore and it proved it.
Any thoughts about it?
Thanks!

Was your reinstall to XP SP2?
If not did you reinstall SP2 before any other drivers?

Yes, the installation was XP SP2.
It appears to be something similar to the SBLive DEVLDR32.exe issue on the Shutdown Troubleshooter site, though, I don't have any DEVLDR32.exe around.
On that website it says:
"Here’s the commonly reported problem scenario people encountered: On attempting shutdown, nothing at all appears to happen for a prolonged period of time. Eventually, an “End Task” window appears, wanting to terminate DEVLDR32.EXE. No matter what one does, one ultimately is locked out of shutting down other than by a power switch shutoff. (NOTE: This problem exists with the SBLive in Windows 2000 also.)"
At first, it sounds like what I'm having trouble with, but the "End Task" part doesn't shows up for me.
