I had no option but to recently reinstall Windows XP as a last resort.. as it was being attacked from all sorts and had become damaged, a combination of help on here, System Mechanic 6 and deleting a few virus from a AVG scan has restored my PC back to full health now thankfully..

The Updates not installing is the only thing worrying me now, any advice ? thanks.. do I maybe have to fully register my copy of Windows XP again or something..

Any ideas on how I can fix it ?, this is the only problem I have now.

What error do you get from Windows Update?

You have to activate Windows operating systems whenever you install/reinstall them.
