    Hi there,

On my PC's taskbar, the round button on the leftmost part of ths system tray that shows or hides inactive icons has disappeared. Please help me restore it. Thanks.

Nothing changes on the system tray when I check or uncheck "Hide inactive icons" in the Taskbar Properties. In the Taskbar Properties window, the "Safely Remove Hardware" is already set to "Always Show."

Another strange behavior is that the circular button (with a < symbol inside of it) that used to appear on the system tray whenever there are hidden icons seldom appears anymore. It sometimes appears only for a brief moment when I do a Windows Update. I suspect that the problem started a long time ago after I did one of those Windows updates.

Actually, my real concern is that the "safely remove hardware" icon does not appear in the systm tray anymore. Now I am no longer able to safely unmount any USB device from the system because that icon does not show up anymore.

    Your suggestions would be appreciated.

    Best regards,

    junres
