I had already opened and cleaned everything inside, in fact this was my first step when problems started.

I think it got slightly better as there were less freezings but definately this is not
    the cause.

We are now, me and my son, testing all my settings on another machine.
So I will use My HD on another PC and then we will have oportunity to find out if this is a software problem or a hardware problem.

What do you think of this idea ??

I would not put that drive in the other machine as the boot drive, but only as a slave, otherwise, you will mess up all the settings Windows uses to identify and configure for the different hardware in your PC. Once as a slave, you can scan for malware and check the drive for errors.

If cleaning helped, you may have a heat issue. I recommend blasting a desk fan in to the side of the open case and see if it still freezes.

I have just remembered a detail that proovs this is not a heating problem.

It freezed during a windows start in the morning (all night off)

That is not proof, but it is a very strong indication. It is not proof because, for example, if the CPU fan fails to spin up after a long cool down (a common symptom of failing fans), the CPU will heat up in seconds.

However, I agree with your assessment. But just to make sure, tomorrow, after being turned off for a long time, before turning on, remove the side panel and look inside when you power up. The fans should spin up to full speed almost immediately.

Two more things to check out:

    1. Inspect the motherboard for leaky capacitors. Leaky capacitors are a common cause of sudden system lock ups and reboots. Inspect the motherboard for white to dark brown dried foam leaking from the tops or bottoms of the capacitors. The capacitors look like tall soda cans, many of which surround the CPU socket. Bulging capacitors are a sign leakage is about to occur. A motherboard with leaky capacitors can be repaired, but generally it is more cost effective to replace the motherboard.

    2. Failing RAM can also cause sudden lockups and reboots. To test your RAM, I recommend MemTest86+. Select Download - Pre-Compiled package for Floppy (DOS - Win). Unzip the file to a convenient location, insert a formatted floppy disk in the floppy drive, double-click on install.bat to install. Then, with the floppy in the drive, reboot the computer. The computer should boot to the floppy and start testing your RAM. Let it run for several passes or even overnight. You should have no reported errors. Instructions to create a bootable CD version is available too. An excellent how-to guide is available here.

Anyway, I will try to follow yr instructions and will keep you informed.
Today its 19.45 now and so far I only had 2 freezings, one in the morning when starting the PC another one later on with no special action.
