C:windows system32 start service missing????
Hi All
Just a quick question regarding the title about system 32 start service What does it do and how important is it?
The pc is running fine no problems starting up or shuting down performance is ok no probs there it just came up when i was trying to install some software onto the computer.
And if it is important how do i solve the problem of getting it back onto the computer?
Many thanks
Gordon

Is that the complete verbatim message?
Does it not specify a service in particular?
Did it only come up that once?
What were you installing? Did it install OK?

Full message is c:\windows\system32 startservice was not found.
Does not specify any service.
came up only once
trying to install electronic parts catalogue for car parts did install but wont work if you go into the program and look at some icons and click on them windows doesnt read them and say about trying to find the program that they came from just wondering if there is something missing from the program or if something is missing from windows?? Games will install fine no problem any ideas???

c:\windows\system32 startservice is NOT a Windows file.
Therefore it must belong to the program. Most likely a command line in the software as seen here:

Have you tried reinstalling? If you do so turn off any anti-virus and or firewall that you might be running during installation.
