System Error and Dump File help

First an apology, i am sure you have seen this a thousand times but i just cannot navigate to a solution without some help. I have done a DegugWiz nad need help interpretting the problem

My laptop has been restarting stating "system has recovered from a serious error".

The following is in the error report to be sent to Microsoft:

    C:\DOCUME~1\emma\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER9801.dir00\Mini0 60307-01.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\emma\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER9801.dir00\sysda ta.xml

    BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : 104C1A65 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001
    BCP4 : F84EFF0F OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

Following advice from this forum posted previously i have run DebugWiz on one of the .dmp files and i have attached the resulting text file.

Any ideas on the problem i am having? is it a driver?

Thankyou for any and all help, i greatly appreciate the time it takes for people to respond.

    Is this a new problem?

    Does it happen regularly?

If you get more dumps please post them.

That one was triggered by your Network Driver.

    Any new hardware or software?

What is the make and model of the computer?

Thankyou for such a fast response.

It is a new problem - last 2/3 days it has started, but happened 9 times in last 3 days, 6 times today.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop, PCG-V505DC1P. I run windows XP SP2 and i have done virus check, scan disk, defrag, win updates. I don't have any new hardward or software in the last week or so. Although i did use someone elses USB pen drive on Thursday and my first occurence was on Thursday evening.....

Here are some more analyses of the dmp files. If it would be helpful for me to post all 9 let me know and i can do that if it is looking like there are multiple triggers (or am i talking nonsense?!)

Thankyou for your help. Are they all saying network driver?

They are all nearly identical and all NDIS.sys triggered.

    Sony drivers: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/mod...1P&region_id=1

Do you know what your Network Adapter is?

If not look in the Device Manager under Network adapters.

The Device Manager can be opened via right clicking My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager. Click the + next to Network adapters.

Also if you want you can run a System Restore to a date prior to Thursday and see if that will fix it. System Restore is accessed via Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Just wanted to post a thankyou for your help. I updated the network drivers and so far I have not had the problem again. Fingers crossed that has fixed it.

    Thankyou for your help.
