So, last night I installed some windows upates which weren't deemed important for my system, once installed (I think, I wasn't watching at the time) the machine restarted and came up with this screen.

Out of the 5 available options they all return me to this same screen. When I choose start windows normally and last good configuration they start the Windows XP screen with the blue loading bar then and a quick flash of a blue screen with white text saying "A problem has occured........" (too quick to make anything else out)

I have my Windows XP installation disc, not sure if I should insert.

Where can I go from here, thanks.

if you try safe mode do you still get the same problem?

Yea, all safe mode options take me back to the screen.
