Mysteriously overnight somehow my settings changed and now I can't login to certain sites, I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2

I can go to my.msn.com but not to hotmail,
I can go to yahoo.com but not to my.yahoo.com,
I can check my mail on yahoo but cannot reply to it.
I can go to the myspace login page but I cant login.
I can login to my freespaces site but I cant save changes to my webpage.

A few nights ago all was fine then I shut down my comp overnight and the next morning I restarted and went to check my hotmail with no luck, then I noticed how many sites I couldnt visit. I've tried everything I know. I have 3 different browsers and it's the same with all .. Ive even tried to do a system restore.

Can someone please help me figure this out??

Was the System Restore successful? Or did it not Restore?
