    DNS servers not present

hello there, I'm having a little trouble with the command prompt results lately. I am trying to obtain a static IP so I can forward my router ports to unblock some applications. When I went to the command prompt and used "Ipconfig/all" I notice that there is only one DNS server, and that is identical to the local IP address, as well as the default gateway, and all the other stuff. A little info that might help...I am running Windows XP SP2, This started happening when I got Fios installed into my house. Verizon INSISTED that I needed the huge ass Actiontec router to get Fios TV and such. Any help is appreciated ^_^

Just as a quick reply here is a Verison FiOS FAQ:

Let us know if anything there helps. That Broadband site has proved very useful to me many times.
