freezing when doing 2 simultaneous actions

    Hi all:

I'm having strange freezing wih my XP.

I think this happens everytime (not always) 2 simultaneous windows explorer tasks are taking place.
Somethinhg like, opening a folder when another one is still closing.

    I already tried:
    System restore
    Fresh XP instalation
    Several registry cleaning programs

    I have no more clues.

What can I do now ??

    please help.

    EDITING: some details more:

Opened the events viewer to check for errors and saw the following red crosses:

    SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER (many times)

    CDROM
    NFTS
    DCOM

SIDE BY SIDE (also many times)

    Hello

What kind of a computer do you have?...Specs?..
When you installed a Fresh copy of windows XP?...did you select Quick format or FULL format?...

You can get brief ideas on your Event Viewer errors here:

    http://www.eventid.net/search.asp

Freezing is generally a hardware problem. Software usually will throw errors as it fails.

Could be heat or your CPU running @ 100%.

Monitor your Task Manager and the CPU usage.
If you right click an empty area of the Taskbar you can open the Task Manager or press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
