Unable to print to tray to HP 8100

Unable to print to tray to HP 8100 - need solution for Monday!
Hi
A problem encountered onsite to a client. They are unable to print to a tray. On a network, other users can printer, they are using Win98.
I reinstalled plc6 drivers and this failed to resolve problem.
Could it be a HP problem and would Firmware be an option to resolve??
Please help.

FYI: The problem was resolved by replacing the net gear server with an HP Print server
