I recently wiped my Hard Drive due to problems .
After re-installing Xp my Hard drive is now labelled as my I: drive as the PC has recognised all my USB ports as removable drives and labelled them C to F and my Writer and DVD drive as G and H.
I've tried using disk manager to rename the I: drive but get the message unable to move/rename drive as it is main system drive !!
any help greatfully received !!

Unfortunately the only way to get back to C: as usual is to reinstall XP.

Remove all removable drives during the process (save the CD of course).

Verify where you setup XP that it is C: during installation.
