How do I close side task panel on my control pane window? My MS Word is OK and has no side task pane.

I don't believe you can. Word and Control Panel (not pane) are two different things. What version of Windows are you using?

Arthur - you need to go back in and edit out your email address. Bad guys troll formum looking for addresses to spam, or to sell to spammers.

Again, I don't see where can remove the side panel in the Control Panel.
