hi i hope someone can help i think i have really messed up. to start with im not great with computer jargon and i only know what i have taught myself. ok firstly my computer kept turning it's self off and just restarting then i got the dreaded blue screen and then it literally just kept freezing up so i had to just turn it off nothing would work, so i thought i would do a system restore, anyway it froze up half way through it and now when i switch it on it goes straight into the screen where you can start in safe mode so i chose last configeration and it gets to the windows xp screen then stops please please tell me i haven't really messed things up. I have also tryed starting like normal and just end up with a blank screen, and also safe mode then it says
stop : c0000135 ( unable to locate components) this application ha failed to start because winsrv was not found. reinstalling the application may fix the problem. does this mean i have lost everything on my computer.?

also i have no drivers for it as i was given the wrong ones when i brought it so a friend downloaded all the drivers graphics etc from the internet so i have'nt a clue whzat i would have to do.

Have you got an xp cd or a recovery cd?

You need to check your temperatures, power supply unit voltages and your RAM before doing much more as they could very well be the cause of the BSOD's. If these are the problems then even a reinstall won't make a difference and will bugger up mid way.

Freezing is mostly an overheating occurrence. Overheating CPU and less common, GPU.

What is your system setup? (list the hardware installed)
