Every time I close an internet explorer window. I get an error message saying Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. sorry for the inconvenience. I have tried reinstalling Internet Explorer 7. I am running Windows XP.

Check your Event Viewer via Administrative Tools.

Open the System as well as Application tabs and look for red X errors that coincide with your problem. Details here:

When you say "tried to reinstall IE7" were you successful?

Thanks for the info. Will go to those pages you recommend and see if I can solve the problem. Yes I was successful in reinstalling Explorer 7. I just installed Mozilla Firefox and notice that the problem has disappeared. I can now close Explorer without the error message. Thanks again.
