Windows Xp pro 64 bit edition Problem

Im running xp Professional 64 bit edition, Im having problems finding 64 bit versions or compatible versions of software and plugins etc.
for example I cannot view videos on yahoo (the ones that pop up in the browser to watch news bulletins etc)

When i click to view the videos it says "Your system is currently unable
to play the selected video." it has a link to get help,, but shows no further info as to what I actually need to get things fixed.

I have installed media player, flash, shockwave, java,, and im fully updated windows wise. I use mozilla firefox

I cant seem to find any similar issues on this forum, not even something to do with xp pro 64 bit edition issues.

Can anyone help ? It would be much appreciated

    Thanks

I run my gaming machine on XP 64 bit but don't use it for much else.

I too found many problems running compatible programs. Most end up in the 32 bit folder when possible.

New games however are running in 64 bit mode which is a plus.

You will note in your START menu that you have two versions of IE (at least if you have IE7). One is 32 bit and the other 64 bit.
