Hello, I have a problem

Hello, I have a problem
when i try and shutdown my computer. Ever so often i get an error message saying ccAp was not able to shut down properly. So i have to click END NOW for the PC to turn off. It does not do this every time, only random times it seems.
I do not know what ccAp is, and is it something i should worry about?
Appreciate the help

Hey
I've just done a quick search and by the looks of it it's simply a process of the symantec AntiVirus internet security suite. As stated here:
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/ccap/
But sorry i don't know anything about the error coming up just before you shut it down though i will have a look for you.

Oh do you by anychance run any symantec software on your computer manually? Or does it all autonmatically load up when booting?
Because if an application is running in the icon tray and you attampt to shut down the computer it may crash the software hense you have to "End now" the software.

Hey
Thanks for the help. Yes i do have Norton AntiVirus running in my system tray. It automatically loads up when i restart. Should i delete it from there, or try and figure out a way to correct the ccAp error?

No, deleting it out of your system tray will stop it from working but it will just initiate itself next time the computer boots up.
I think it's a problem in the program itself because it's not meant to have an error message when the computer shuts down. Have you used norton whilst the computer has been on when it gives the end now message on shut down OR does it just happen as randomly as you say it does.
