    Bootvis problem

    Hi All
I am having problems with Bootvis.msi (v13370). When ran, it only displays 3 out of 6 graphs : CPU Usage, Disk I/O and Process Create and not the most important Boot Activity, Disk Utilization and Driver Delay. When I tried the same program on another Pentium 2 pc it shows all 6 graphs. Can anyone help please.

    OS – WinXP Pro SP2 Pentium 4
    Motherboard – ASRock K8NF4G-VSTA
    CPU – AMD Sempron 3000+
    Memory - 512MB
    Harddisk – Hitachi 80GB
    Security - Windows programs
    AV – AvastAV
Spyware – Spyware Blaster, Ad-Aware, Advance Spyware Remover
    Firewall – windows program

Are those boxes checked to run? If so have you tried creating a new list rather than Default?

Bootvis has not been updated in years and Microsoft no longer issues nor supports its use.

Even when they did it was just a recording device for developers with no practical use to the end user beyond curiosity.

    About Bootvis.exe

Bootvis.exe is a performance tracing and visualization tool that Microsoft designed to help PC system designers and software developers identify performance issues for boot/resume timing while developing new PC products or supporting software.

Please note that Bootvis.exe is not a tool that will improve boot/resume performance for end users. Contrary to some published reports, Bootvis.exe cannot reduce or alter a system's boot or resume performance. The boot optimization routines invoked by Bootvis.exe are built into Windows XP. These routines run automatically at pre-determined times as part of the normal operation of the operating system.
