hi, complete computer dim wit, so please bear with the following descriptions!!!

pc was showing error msg every time it was turned on saying battery low. was told to change battery on mother board, which amazingly I did. at this point "we" updated our norton anti virus (which had run out) and downloaded windows live one care for a free trial. our email (now microsoft office outlook 2003) also changed (hate the new format!) not quite sure what happened along the way, but now when I am on the internet "parts' of the screen or 'buttons' dont work, ie, (&I apologise in advance) on cebeebies (!) the pictures of the characters that you would normally double click on are there, but if you click on them nothing happens. or on hallmark e cards, I can choose a card, but cant click on the 'personalise' button or on other sites, the 'proceed' button doesnt work.

something is obviously blocking it, but I havent a clue what, or where to start, any help gratefully recvd, but it will have to be in the form of an idiot guide!!

right this could be your activeX on internet explorer (of whatever browser you use)

in I.E click tools>internet options>security> click custom level (near the bottom) and change the following settings as shown:



click ok then apply...
