you meen partition your drive? I would use more than 5gb (from experience) for windows. I would have the windows patition with at least 10GB, possibly 15

because i now have 160 GB, i have 4 partions...
40GB -windows, updates and some programs (266.7GB laft)
40GB -Programs and games (30GB left, I do not really play pc games)
    10GB -Downloads (4GB free
    65GB -music+documents (36GB free)

the window update would take much space and for installion of the xp only take about 2gb so i still have 3gb free. the reason i doing this is because to protect pc from virus and other harmful thing, the deepfreeze will freeze my c partition and the other partition un-freeze. i install xp in the c partition, and the other partition are just for program and game.

yes, should be enough as long as you install all programs/games to the other drive, the reason i ended up re-formatting and starting again was I installed the odd program now and again to C so it got full.... also remember that when you install a program/game, it automatically puts files in the C drive... this should not matter because they are only usualy small files.

It is a good idea to protect your documents/pictures but remember, If you do have to re-format C, your programs and games will not work and will need to be re-installed.
