To the computer dudes who are usually so good at this type of thing:

Well, as the title said, my computer freezes as I am going through Windows Explorer, into the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users folder, but it doesn't freeze just yet.... as soon as I go to double click on Start Menu folder... it freezes.. dead!

Now.... I was going into the folder to have a bit of a clean up of what programs load up when the computer does, and more specifically to get rid of the following error message I get each time the computer starts...

RUNDLL

Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\2.bin\MWSBAR.DLL

Any ideas?

Is my Start Menu folder, so crammed full of rubbish that it just won't open?

I've obviously done all the Spybot, Ad-aware, stuff, but its all the same still...

Any help recieved will make me go 'Ahhh, thanks for the help Dude!'

First, "mwsbar.dll" is associated with the "My Web Search" toolbar which is downloaded and installed with several different free products. The first step is simple: go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs... and look for and uninstall "My Web Search Bar". It can actually be present under several different names, so look for any of the other items listed here.

Also you might consider posting a HijackThis log in our HijackThis section.

Ok thanks, I have looked before in the Add/Remove programs, but there doesn't seem to be anything there which could be the my web search bar... I guess I'll go and post a hijackthis log then, thanks.
