Deleting Homepage links??

Deleting Homepage links??
Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Internet Options.
Box shows, Homepage at top
Temporary Internet Files, center
History, at the bottom
How can I delete all previously visited, unwanted 'link' addresses from the Homepage default box?
Deleting Temporary Internet Files and History does not clear the default box.
How do these addresses find their way into the dial-up default box?
Any help please, would be appreciated.
Thanks

Right click each item and delete.
If you do not want IE to remember such things turn off Auto Complete:
Turning off AutoComplete completely
If you don't like seeing your user names, passwords, and other information sitting in drop-down windows, tell Windows to stop by doing this:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
3. Click the Content tab.
4. Click the AutoComplete button.
5. Click to remove checkmarks from these items:
* Web addresses
* Forms
* User names and passwords on forms
* Prompt me to save passwords
6. Click the Clear Forms button.
7. Click the Clear Passwords button.
8. Click OK.
Deleting old entries from the Search Companion
But you're not through yet. Windows XP's Search Companion also includes an AutoComplete feature, so it can remember every file and phrase you've searched for. Here's how to turn it off, as well:
1. Choose Search from the Start menu.
2. Choose Change Preferences.
3. Choose Turn AutoComplete off.

jephree,

So, many thanks for your help.
Can I just pick your brain over one other annoying thing?
I often use 'Yahoo UK and Ireland' (as I'm a Brit.) for searching, because it is very good at finding UK sites. Recently, a company called 'monster market' has been picking up my request and displaying their site/search engine/adverts, in it's place. I find I have to come right out of Yahoo, lose Tiscali homepage and have to start over again. It doesn't do it everytime and then only to more often used searches
There seems to be no trace of spyware. Any ideas please?
with thanks
