the sound stopped on my computer. i reinstalled the driver but that did not work. what can i do?

Did you check the cables, any on/off switch, and all other mechanical connections to make sure the interconnections are all ok. What were you doing befoer sound went dead?

check if it is disabled or anything in device manager (start - control panel - system - hardware - device manager) check the sound parts and see if it has any red crosses or yellow exclamation marks beside it, my friend had a problem with his due to a virus, but thats easily fixable =)

yea my sound doesnt work either... when i click on Ares which is where i keep all of my music.. it says "Media error cannot play back the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or hardware is not responding." so i guess i have to download some kind of driver but i dont know which on... if you figure out how to fix it plz tell me...
