    Can you borrow an xp home cd off anyone? you can use any xp home disk as long as when your activating your copy (after the setup), you use your product key (on a sticky label somewhere on your laptop, it has a little barcode on it as well, usualy on the back) this is perfectly legal

    as Kaistar said, you wil need the drivers to re-install otherwise you will have no sound and possibly only a low resolution display, the best thing to do is download them (we will help you find them, just let us know the make and model of the laptop) and then copy the setup files to disk so you can install them after you have set up XP

    no problems just thaught id point it out, it is easy to miss/forget about things like that and i have done it a few times
