    Issues with IE7

Recently I've had trouble accessing certain webpages through Internet Explorer 7. On certain sites the page loads (IE the green download bar fills) but no display. Also this has not only happened on my base PC but also my laptop with wireless connection.

Coincidentially it seems to be the same unaccessable pages on both base pc and laptop (both using IE7).

However, if I try the same page with AOL browser they load fine......

Any ideas how I can solve the problem with IE7??

    Thanks!!

First of all, u run Windows XP right? With SP1 or SP2? Since SP2 add security stuff to the IE, causing it to block pop ups and others by default setting.

Yes i'm on XP but Windows came pre-installed on the PC but I think it's SP2.

How can i check for sure?

The strange thing is that all this happened without downloading anything additional causing it to be this way.

    Thanks gavi2000uk

To check what version of Windows u run, u simply go -> Control Panel -> System -> in the General Tab.
I just asked, becouse i recently upgraded to SP2, as i used SP1 until start of this year. I thus seen, that the IE seemed to behave somewhat differently then bevore. As example, it did have a pop-up blocker build in, and serval other stuff.
First of all, u can send me a link to a site, that u cannt seem to open. then i can go there, and take a look at how the site is build(with alot flash stuff or other such things). If i have the same problems as u have on that site, then maybe the IE has a problem with it, if i dont have the problem, then u need to do other things.
With other things i mean, u could try download another internet exploring program, like Mozilla Firefox, it might be probably ur version, i still run IE6 since everywhere i seen IE7 to download, it was a BETA download. I dont like BETA stuff ... sounds to me like its not bugfree :P

    Thanks....

Been having problems with bbc.co.uk/sport yet none of the other bbc.co.uk sites.

For some reason it seems to be the 'subsections' of websites that are sometimes unaccessable. Had this problem with www.amazon.co.uk too. IE can get homepage but not certain links.

Don't know if this is related but for a while I had trouble accessing interactive maps on sites such as www.rac.co.uk and www.theaa.com although that seems to have cleared up now.

    Thanks
