Files that dont delete?

    Files that dont delete?

Ive been having this problem recently, I download files (Mostly images) and they dont delete, when I right click on them the only options are:

    "Preview
    Print
    Edit
    Preview
    ----
    Shred File
    Open With
    ----
    Sent to"

No delete, etc, and pressing DEL on the keyboard wont work either.

Its getting really annoying and my desktop is just clogging up with things that I cant delete

    Thanks

U said that the kind of files r mostly images? Like pictures and such stuff? JPG, BMP and such?
Firstly, if they r pictures, can u look at them? I mean, does windoes show them properly or not?

I would first let the windows let me show the ending of the files, and then try to chanbge the name(to something like "a"), without the ending windows doesnt know what kinda file it is. Then u try to delete it again, using the delete button, or the one in the "right klick" menu.

If that dont work, try to push the filed into ur trashcan, if they can be pushed into it, u just empty the trashcan(and the trashcan should work, once u manage to kick the files in it, the erase has nothing to do with the files itself anymore).

If even this dont work, u could try to copy(if they can be copied)the files on a HardDrive partition other then C:, get rid of everything else on that HD partition, and then(with kinda a woodclub method)just either Format the HD partition, or open the partition(which means u loose ALL data on the partition, and u need to re-partition it again).

If windows tells u, that the files cannt be deleted, becouse "programm XYY is using them", then try to start ur windows in save mode, since then it only loads the essencial stuff. Then u just try again to delete the files ... works for me always.
