Recovering Important Lost files
I have a lot of pictures and folders that ended up deleted, somehow. And now they're only location is in "C:\Documents and settings\owner\recent" --they are ".lnk" files. Now I cannot open them.. I found them in the "RECENT FOLDER" but everytime I try to open them it says they point to a shortcut that cannot be found. How do I restore these files? I can see their file names plain as day in my recent folder--but I cannot open them. Is there any way to restore these files??

.lnk files are links to files. They in themselves are not files but shortcuts to the file.
If you deleted the files the shortcuts cannot find them.
If this is a new problem Right Click your Recycling Bin on the desktop and restore all your files there.
If this does not work and your files are vital please stop using this computer/hard drive.
Your files can be recovered via another computer but the more you use this hard drive the deeper they are buried.

There are no programs that can recover these files? They were deleted only a couple days ago.
