I have an ISO Image of xp, as the cd shows error messages when copying files. As I dont have CD burner, I tried to copy the contents using Alcohol software.
When installing from this folder, as the files are being completed copying a popup comes up "a6rfkcri.sys" file missing !
Well the version of Windows is perfect image, than why this message, should I have to burn the .nrg file and than do the setup?
Please advise.
Ashfaq Shaikh.
u should burn it because when u install u should start from new
I was not clear in my first attempt of explaining, please understand that this is the image of a genuine cd .nrg. My cd is damaged, and the pc is unable to copy files from the cd, and asks to retrive a number of times. As I had a copy of the image in my office pc, I copied the files through alcohol software. Now the problem is it is asking for the file, which is not found in the package. Is this because of the iso image or it is some other problem. Will burning the cd and than installing it, I mean upgrading the existing installation will resolve the problem.
Ashfaq.
In creating an ISO disk are you choosing to burn Disk Image?
You should not be burning files but only the image.
There should be no mention of files in the process.
Have you created ISO's before?
Long back I use to have a CD writer, which came with Nero software for copying CD,s and writting data on CD media. This CD writer Stopped functioning, I mean stopped reading data on cd's, so I had to discard it and switch back to CD-Rom.
My problem right now is, of a Genuine Microsoft installer Disk, I have an ISO image. This Image I managed to convert it into regular files through available Alcohol 52 software. I copied the data in one of my partitions, and tried to install from it by clicking the setup icon. Although the setup started as it should, after going for upgrade, taking in the serial and all, when copying the files an error crept up, which i had mentioned above. What I want to know is, is it because of copying the Image file? In first place was it required of me to burn the image file, and convert it to bootable CD to get perfect installation? And does copying file through some ISO clones changes the Data which could create errors?
Simple , right?
Ashfaq.
Yes.In first place was it required of me to burn the image file, and convert it to bootable CD to get perfect installation?
