    pc rebooting on startup

I have a PC that has developed a problem, it keeps rebooting on startup and I cant access anything. I have tried using safe mode and "last known...." but with no luck. It will go as far as the win logo, then log off and start all over again.

It was working fine till yesterday when I removed Nero 6, (thru add/remove), I was asked to reboot and that's when the problem started. The PC is a P3 with 256 RAM and an 80 gig hdd. I use win xp prof.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Try Safe Mode > Safe Mode

Does that work? If you are prompted to System Restore do so.

I have already tried safe mode, and it didn't work. Even in safe mode it's still rebooting.

About the only option here is to boot your XP CD and first try the Recovery Console.

    Try the FIXBOOT command first.

If no go then try FIXMBR

If no go then try BOOTCFG

If no go then get back to us.
