You can view files as:

Thumbnail,tile,Icon,list,details.

If i change a view to "tile" furtherwithin that file there are files sorted by "icon". how do i change it so EVERY file within that file is the same view?

if you want EVERY file on your computer in detail view, go to a folder, change the settings of that folder to how you want it then click tools>folder options>view and then click apply to all folders.

I didnt know how to do it, I had to try and it was coincidence that i saw that... I was actually looking for general folder options but couldnt find it.
