    Insufficient System Resources

Hi, I'm gett this error "File close fails: Insufficient system resources exist ot complete the requested service, write fails, flush fails." "Disk read error - Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service, read fails.

What boggles me is i have 2 gigs of ram and the only 2 things i had open at the time was azureus and world of warcraft, these two applications can't possible be taking up 2 gigs of ram can it? I went into Virutal memory and changed the initial and maxium paging file size to the recommanded size which was 3069 (was advice i got on another site) that didn't help much. I have 148 gig harddrive w/ 12.8 gigs avaiable. win xp pro, 3.4mhz pentium 4. 2 gigs of ram. Any help is greatly appericated.

i would have said the RAM at first, but 2GB seems fine, I would say clean up your hard drive... start>all programs>accesories>system tools>disk cleanup

also, got to your control panel, click add/remove programs, and un-install any programs you dont use.

How does the harddrive effect the ram though im confused, how would deleting a few programs increase the amount of avaiable ram. I have word of warcraft open right now and this browser CPU usage in task manager is up to 65% and keeps jumping between 70-80% is this normal? and PF usage stays steady at 495MB it doesn't move, ( not sure if thats relavent at all but it seems odd.

The hard drive would not effect the RAM but clearing your hard drive may improve system performance.

Your 70-80% CPU ussage is fine when playing a game such as world of warcraft

what is your available physical memory (aprox.) you can find this in the performance tab of your task manager

I also have 53 processes, and only 2 things open this browser and WOW, is that alot? I can't tell which is important and which is not in the processes list.

That seems perfectly fine. What about Page File ussage? is that quite low? (it is under CPU usage)

I have 37 with only this open.

You could post a HJ This log in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section with a brief description of your problem

They will tell you which are bad and which are not and how to go about speeding your computer up.

Before you do this, please scan your computer for virus's and spyware (you can download both these from here if you do not already have them, they are the first two links in the 'Security' collumn)

Page file usage as stated in this post is around 495MB steady and doesn't move much. Also I've ran spybot search and destory as well as adware before posting in these forums.
