Shut Down Help
I've got Windows Xp Home edition... and for some reason I only get a chance to go on it for only an hour...before it shuts itself down and then restarts itself.
When it restarts itself, I try logging back in to my account but it will constantly still shut itself down.
My Question: How do I stop or Prevent this from happening all the time?

Is there any error message?

hello megadeath,
in reply to the above....
when the computer shuts itself down, and then restarts itself I some times may get a slim chance to log back on....
If I do manage to get on
a pop up comes onto the screen saying something about an error report ( for a bizzare reason ) and it says at the very bottom
SEND ERROR REPORT or DON'T SEND ERROR REPORT.
When I click on DON'T SEND ERROR REPORT the pop-up closes down, yet when I click on SEND ERROR REPORT, the report gets sent to microsoft but nothing seems to help and the shut down process will happen again.

When Windows shutsdown and restarts you probably have a hardware, software, driver, or the fans inside your machine are plugged up and Windows is over heating, it could even be related to the power supply.
Go To Start > Run box type: sysdm.cpl
Click on advanced > Start up & recovery > Settings > System failure
Uncheck the box - Auto restart.
Go To Start > Run box type: devmgmt.msc
Check for any red x's, yellow ? or !, if you find any right click & click on properties... will tell you the status of the device.
Go To Start > Run box type: eventvwr.msc
Check your logs that show any errors for shutdown, restart, ect.
Unchecking auto restart should help, but it's just a bandaid their's a reason Windows is shutting down and restarting.
