Exclamation Keep getting Blue screen with stop message on startup!

Hi guy's , my computer's been running like a steam train since the last time you sorted it out.

It's started playing up again in the last week or so, Ive tried various things but with no joy.

Keep getting a Blue screen on startup " ***STOP: 0x0000007E
    (0xC0000005,0xF8709693,0xF8940C64,0xF8940960)"

Also a message saying "Windows has been shut down to prevent damage.
Check adequate disc space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.
Check with hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode."???

My computer is a Compaq Evo D300v microtower.

    Cheers, Sandy.

Will it load into Safe Mode?

If so go to start Run... and type: cmd

    Then type: chkdsk /f

You will be told the volume is in use do you want to run chkdsk on next boot

    Type Y and reboot.

Let us know what happens then.

Hi, sorrry for late reply, been away for couple of weeks.

I did the disc check before I left. (took a while)

I've noticed that I get the blue screen after reboots but not when PC has been shut down properly at end of the day?

The only way to get rid of blue screen is to turn off at tower which sometimes causes an other error message because windows was not shut down properly

Any updates or things that ask me to reboot don't seem to be affected but I'm not sure about that.
