total n00b with computers
i just recently turned my computer from a fat32 to a NTFS via run>cmd ...
etc but now every time i try to log onto windows account it reboots itself,
saying something like "dumping of physical memory" and it enters this blue
screen..
i tried to turn off the plug (total beginner with pc's *sighh* and the problem
persists.. but this time it came up with the message ipwins need to be
reinstalled.. then it reboots with the blue screen again.
anyway i did a quick search on my 2nd computer on ipwins and it said it
was a threatening spyware, so i went onto safe mode on the first pc and ran
theavg spyware free edition, it came up with 105 spywares/cookies, so i
deleted them all, i tried again, reboot, type password, it showed my desktop
for a while, but then it reboots itself to the same blue screen!! please help..
any info on how to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated

Go back into Safe Mode and from start Run... cmd
Then type: chkdsk /r
You will be told the volume is in use do you want to run chkdsk on next boot.
Type: y and then reboot.
If this doesn't help there are several commands available when you boot the XP CD into the Recovery Console. Details here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058
As a last resort a Repair Install might be the most beneficial tack:

I would really suggest running a Repair Install of XP. It will basically redo your Upgrade.
