Offset 00012a5b Errors
Hello,
Have not visited here for a while. I hope someone can resolve this we have been suffering with.
I have a DVD program by InterVideo version 7 which plays movies from dvd disc but when I close the program it generates an error as below. The program opens and operates fine.
AppName:WINDVD7.exe Offset00012a5b
ModName kernel 32.dll.
This error is also reported on CTF Loader which is part of ctfmon.exe. I do not use this program so have disabled from autostart to stop the error reporting and it being forced to close. The error is the same just application is obviously different and i'm concerned it could affect other programs I havent identified yet.
The path of the error is C\:documents\my name\Locals~1\Temp\e280_accompat.txt
I cant seem to this locate this using windows explorer?
I have removed WINDVD and then reinstalled WINDVD and the error still occurs so must be windows xp problem with files missing or corrupted somehow
Please can anyone help?
Thanks

Ok, when you remove windvd there might be some residual files; delete c:\program files\intervideo\windvd (or the windvd dir wherever you have installed it) Also try deleting the reg entries, but be careful when you do this. Type "regedit" in the windows Run box, and on the left go to;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/
and delete intervideo.

OK thanks, I'm OK with editing registry so I will have a look at that and make a back up before I change anything.
Let you know how I get on a little later.

Hi,
Removed every last damn morsel of anything on InterVideoDVD7 and reinstalled with a key from there website.
Still the same and genbeating the same error.

"Are you sure you deleted it..."
Just kidding, only two things I can think of are making sure you have Window's latest updates, or putting up with the error. After all, it looks harmless...

OK, its not the end of the world just bored with the inevitable error
report appearing after I've finished watching a film. Where do these reports go on my hard drive? So I can take them out.

It may be the C\:documents\my name\Locals~1\Temp\e280_accompat.txt you said earlier but couldn't find, they may be being deleted automatically or something
