    new installation

Is it possible to have a clean install on a hard drive which already has Vista on it. bearing in mind that is a different system altogether. I want to put a new copy of winxp home on and get rid of Vista, altogether. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks Guys

why would you want to remove Vista?

if you have a legal copy of XP you could format the drive and do a clean install

Hi Pink, well I had Vista on for a while and I found my new web cam would not work and was having some trouble with some of my fps games. It did seem to use up quite a lot of my resources. I intended to buy a new genuine copy of xp home. At the moment, I am trying to get my partition back to one drive, so I can try and do what you suggested. At what stage do I get the opportunity to format the c drive. I can only presume it is during the instalation of win xp system.

when you put the XP CD in you can delete any partions you have.

if you're buying alegal copy of XP for about the same price you can get a legal copy of Vista
